The Fort Laramie Rendezvous Association’s Mission is to preserve and promote the great history of the Fort Laramie area through education, demonstrations, cultural events and a yearly rendezvous so that visitors can learn and enjoy the history of the 1804 – 1840 period of fur trading and life on the plains.
Every Father’s Day Weekend at South Park in Fort Laramie, WY the Fort Laramie Rendezvous Association hosts a family-friendly event that is sure to please everyone. There are children’s games, storytellers, speakers, singers, Native American dancers and musicans. A black powder shoot, hawk and knife throw and ladies frying pan toss are available for adults to participate in. The authentic mountain men fur traders educate and demonstrate their artisan skills of handmade items and also make these items for sale.
